You

Good physical health is something that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Andreas works a wide range of people, from young to the old and offers a route forward to a healthier and happier you.

Seeking the optimal possible health for each individual and aimed at improving your quality of life, treatments tend to be comprehensive and whole-body focussed. Andreas can give you the advice, knowledge and routine to reduce your risk of aches, pain or injury and address the stresses and strains of your daily life.

If your condition is unlikely to respond to osteopathic treatment, you will be advised about how to seek further care. He can refer you to other professionals where applicable, and where necessary.

Office workers

Patients who are desk bound (and often stressed) commonly present with ‘achy’ and stiff upper backs, lower backs and sore necks.  Less common presentations include tight forearms from repetitive computer work, headaches (originating from the neck) and even associated pelvic and hip problems.

Osteopaths are keen observers of these effects and Andreas’ hands on, unhurried approach addresses these.

Many of Andreas’ patients visit him for maintenance treatments aimed at symptom prevention and pain management. They are assessed at regular but well-spaced intervals and so problems are often identified before they cause discomfort or pain.

Sports, yoga, pilates and all other activity focussed enthusiasts

Sports injuries are common amongst the active, healthy, sport enthusiasts of London. Andreas has worked extensively with runners, cyclists, weightlifters and the ‘weekend warrior’ in context of injury prevention so as to maintain training objectives as well as injury treatment and rehab.

Common types of sports injuries that can be treated include:

  • ligament sprains
  • muscle strains
  • tendinopathy
  • minor impact traumas

Andreas’ key aim is to get you moving and back to your sport or training as quickly and safely as possible.  He offers advice on your routine to avoid future injury, and can also refer you on to several, reputable physiotherapists.

Expectant mums

Osteopathy for pregnancy offers a safe and effective adjunct to your standard antenatal care from at least 12 weeks to birth.

Treatment aims to help you adapt to the physical changes of pregnancy, positively influencing your posture, movement and physiology.

Most pregnant patients respond very quickly to treatment and so the session is limited to approximately 40 minutes.  However, an initial 60-minute consultation/treatment is suggested. This allows a focussed medical and pregnancy history and ensures you are been treated in a comprehensive and safe way.
